Job summary

Miccosukee Casino & Resort is seeking an experienced System Support Technician to join our team in Miami, FL. The role focuses on maintaining all systems, providing user support across resort and gaming areas, and ensuring secure configurations for operations.

You will set up workstations, troubleshoot issues, and work with IT to propose upgrades, patches, and new applications. The position demands reliability and the ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English; bilingual is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License
• 3 years of experience in Human Resources
• Working knowledge PC skills including MS Word and Excel
• Must be able to lift or carry a minimum of 20 pounds unassisted
• Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness
• Must be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains all systems, applications, and security and documentation configurations.
• Recommends upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment.
• Provides technical support and guidance to users.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgement to troubleshoot issues as well as to plan and accomplish goals.
• Provides end users support for point of sale hardware, resort, and gaming areas.
• Evaluates current processes and procedures and may procedures and may propose different application, systems to Management for review.
• Sets up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.).
• Checks computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality.
• Maintains records of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
• Any other duty as required commensurate with the position, department, and organization.
