Job summary

The Rose Gaming Resort is part of Churchill Downs Incorporated and is seeking a server to join our Food & Beverage team. You will provide attentive service, take orders, communicate menu details, and uphold Rose Standards to ensure a memorable guest dining experience.

Responsibilities include bussing tables, delivering food, handling POS transactions, and maintaining safety standards. Must obtain a TIPS certificate within 90 days and be at least 18 years old; prior beverage knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 18 years of age and ability to stand 8+ hours.
• Three months related experience or training required.
• Virginia Racing Commission License is required.
• Driver's License with at least three years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders from guests.
• Describe Chef's specials and answer menu questions confidently.
• Deliver food orders to guests in a full-service restaurant.
• Carry a 27" oval tray with hot and cold items.
• Perform steps of service and maintain restaurant standards.
• Practice safety and sanitation techniques.
• Obtain TIPS certificate within 90 days of employment.
• Perform proper table side wine service, including opening and presenting wine.
