Job summary

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and experience in fast-paced bars or dining venues, plus knowledge of wines, beers and spirits. Training in health, safety and alcohol awareness is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume bar, restaurant or nightclub is preferred.
• General wine, beer and spirituous liquor knowledge preferred.
• Must acquire and maintain required compliance trainings (Alcohol Awareness Certification, BBP, etc.).
• Ability to greet, interact positively, listen actively and appreciate guests.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
• Answers menu questions posed by guests.
• Maintains knowledge of beverages and any food offerings or special menu items offered.
• Observes guests' behavior and cues indicating intoxication.
• Provides attentive, friendly and professional service to guests while communicating positively.
• May assist as a server assistant and ensure food is served promptly.
• Ensures quality and presentation meet or exceed guest expectations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
