Job summary

7th Street Burger is seeking both part-time and full-time cashiers to be the friendly face of our shop. You will greet customers, accurately enter orders, and handle cash and digital payments while keeping the space clean and energized.

You’ll work with a team in a fast-paced setting, with opportunities to grow as our brand expands across the region. We offer weekly pay, free meals, and benefits for full-time teammates.

• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or retail environment.
• Cash handling and courteous customer service.
• Availability for late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming, high-energy experience.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system.
• Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments efficiently.
• Count and close out the register at open and close.
• Keep the counter, lobby, and garbage areas clean during shift.
• Communicate with cooks to ensure order accuracy and speed.
• Support teammates and jump in where needed.

7th Street Burger was founded in 2021 by two college friends with one simple idea - make great burgers, keep it simple, and stay true to our roots. What started as a single East Village shop has grown into 30+ locations across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Boston, and DC, with plans to scale throughout the Northeast. Pay Rate:$17.50 per hour + Tips

About the role:

At 7th Street Burger, ourPart-Time and Full-Time Cashiersare the face of the shop. You're the first hello and the last thank you, keeping the line moving and the energy up while orders fly. If you love people, stay cool when it gets busy, and want to grow with a brand that's expanding fast, this is your spot.

What you'll do:

• Greet every customer and create a welcoming, high-energy experience

• Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments efficiently
• Count and close out the register at open and close

• Communicate with the cooks to ensure order accuracy and speed
• Support your teammates and jump in wherever the shift needs you

What you'll bring:

• A positive, customer-first attitude and reliable attendance
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or retail environment preferred
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred
• Food handler certification is a plus (we will help you get certified)
• Flexible availability for late nights (most shops are open until 3:00am), weekends, and holidays
