Job summary

7th Street Burger Union is hiring part-time and full-time cashiers to be the face of the shop. You will greet customers, take orders, and keep the line moving with a positive attitude and fast service.

The role offers pay at $16.50 per hour plus tips, with benefits for full-time staff and opportunities to grow with a rapidly expanding brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume restaurant or retail setting preferred.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Food handler certification is a plus; we assist with certification.
• Flexible availability for late nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming, high-energy experience.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system.
• Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments efficiently.
• Count and close out the register at open and close.
• Keep the counter, lobby, and dining area clean during shifts.
• Communicate with cooks to ensure order accuracy and speed.
• Support teammates and jump in wherever needed.

What you'll do:

• Greet every customer and create a welcoming, high-energy experience
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system
• Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments efficiently
• Count and close out the register at open and close
• Keep the counter, lobby, and garbage areas clean throughout your shift
• Communicate with the cooks to ensure order accuracy and speed
• Support your teammates and jump in wherever the shift needs you

What you'll bring:

• A positive, customer-first attitude and reliable attendance
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or retail environment preferred
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred
