Responsibilities include:

• Providing efficient and courteous service to customers, including managing check-out queues and ensuring register sign-off occurs only after relief.
• Scanning and ringing customer orders accurately, crediting items to the correct department, and removing all items from carts.
• Handling all funds responsibly for each transaction.
• Assisting courtesy clerks with bagging groceries.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work station and surrounding area.
• Following all legal requirements related to alcohol sales, WIC handling, coupons, and various transaction procedures.
• Using assigned tills properly and following company policies for transactions.
• Taking weekly produce tests and ensuring all not-on-file items are recorded daily.
• Properly obtaining change and using the intercom correctly.
• Understanding and explaining the ValuCard program.
• Assisting with light stocking duties and maintaining cleanliness of the front end and bathrooms.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
