Requirements

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times, including handling check-outs and waiting until relieved before signing off the register.
• Scan and ring customer orders according to company policy, ensuring items are credited correctly and removed from carts.
• Receive and be accountable for all funds during transactions.
• Assist the courtesy clerk in bagging groceries.
• Maintain a neat and clean work station and surrounding area.
• Follow all laws regarding alcohol sales, WIC handling, coupon processing, and payment procedures.
• Properly use assigned tills and handle transactions appropriately.
• Take weekly produce tests and record all non-on-file items daily.
• Follow procedures for obtaining change, using the intercom, and explaining the ValuCard program.
• Assist with light stocking duties and keep the front end and bathrooms clean.
• Other duties as assigned.
