Job description

Join to apply for the Cashier - Student role at Food City / KVAT Foods Inc.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing efficient and courteous service to customers, including managing check-out procedures and ensuring register sign-off only after relief.
2. Scanning and ringing customer orders accurately and according to company standards.
3. Handling and being accountable for all transaction funds.
4. Assisting with bagging groceries and light stocking duties.
5. Maintaining a clean and organized work station and surrounding area.
6. Following all relevant laws and company policies regarding sales, coupons, check cashing, and transactions.
7. Participating in weekly tests and recording all not-on-file items daily.
8. Properly using communication tools and equipment like the intercom.
9. Understanding and explaining the ValuCard program.
10. Performing additional duties as assigned.
