Join to apply for the Cashier - Student role at Food City / KVAT Foods Inc.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing efficient and courteous service to customers, including managing check-outs and ensuring proper sign-off procedures.
2. Scanning and ringing customer orders according to company standards, crediting items correctly, and removing items from carts.
3. Handling and being accountable for all transaction funds.
4. Assisting courtesy clerks with bagging groceries.
5. Maintaining a neat and clean work station and surrounding area.
6. Following all applicable laws regarding alcohol sales, WIC handling, and coupon processing.
7. Following company policies for check cashing, tendering, and transaction procedures.
8. Using assigned tills properly and taking weekly produce tests.
9. Recording and submitting all not-on-file items daily.
10. Using the intercom correctly and avoiding conversations while checking out customers.
11. Understanding and explaining the ValuCard program.
12. Assisting with light stocking duties and maintaining cleanliness of the front end and bathrooms.
13. Performing other duties as assigned.
