Job summary

GPM Investments, Village Pantry in Indianapolis, seeks a part-time Sales Associate. You will greet customers, run the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and safe. You’ll learn liquor, lottery, and tobacco compliance and may cross-train in deli or other areas.

The role emphasizes quick service, accuracy, and a friendly, reliable demeanor. Weekend availability, physical stamina, and a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Age must be 21 or older.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication.
• Capable of lifting 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, operate the register with accuracy and speed.
• Stock shelves and maintain clean, safe store
• Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales per age rules.
• Upsell customers where possible to increase sales.
• Maintain store cleanliness inside and outside, including restrooms and pumps area
• Cross-train in other departments as needed
• Follow safety procedures and company policies
