Overview

Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all related paperwork. Cashiers are responsible for maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the "Cavender's Culture" and promote our Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Be knowledgeable about CBC policies, procedures, and cashiering transactions such as cash sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, and exchanges.
• Enter all sales and monies in the register promptly.
• Assist with stocking merchandise and store organization.
• Promote add-on purchases and store specials.
• Report to work promptly, dressed appropriately and groomed.
• Be security conscious and responsive to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and inventory.
• Stay updated on sales promotions and practice inventory control on boots.
• Follow company policies on all sales, validate sales tickets, and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with supervisors to achieve company goals.
