Overview

Head Cashiers greet and thank every customer who enters and leaves the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all related paperwork. They are also responsible for maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Support the "Cavender's Culture" and promote our Mission, Vision, and Values
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Be knowledgeable about CBC policies and cashiering transactions (cash sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, exchanges)
• Enter all sales and cash accurately at the register
• Assist with stocking merchandise and store organization
• Promote store specials and suggest add-on purchases
• Report promptly, dress appropriately, and stay security conscious
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and inventory
• Stay updated on sales and promotions
• Practice inventory control, especially on boots
• Follow company policies on sales and validate tickets
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned
• Collaborate with supervisors to meet company goals
