Job summary

Goodwill Manasota is seeking a part-time Cashier in Englewood, FL. You will greet customers, operate the POS system, and assist with cash handling and training of new team members while maintaining a clean, organized sales floor.

The role emphasizes enthusiastic customer interactions, accurate pricing, and supporting fundraising efforts through Change Round Up and high-quality service across shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor
