Job summary

Goodwill Manasota is seeking a part-time Cashier at our Bradenton campus to deliver friendly customer service and accurate sales processing. You will greet shoppers, operate the POS, and engage customers in Change Round Up to support our mission.

The role requires the ability to multitask, lift up to 25 pounds, and work days, evenings, and weekends. Prior cashier or retail experience is preferred, with benefits linked to the store’s team environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers enthusiastically.
• Operate POS and ensure accurate pricing and codes.

• Assist in training new team members and cashiers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe sales floor and restock as needed.

THE POSITION:

As a Cashier, you will:

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
