Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque is seeking friendly part-time cashiers to greet customers, take orders, and ensure accurate transactions. You will assist with dine-in and to-go orders, demonstrate product knowledge, and promote menu items with a personable approach.

You will handle cash using a POS system, maintain a clean work area, and comply with all policies including alcohol service guidelines. The role requires English fluency and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds in a bustling,

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required.
• TABC required if 18+ years of age.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluent English for all job-related circumstances.
• Prior cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with customers in person or by phone to ensure accuracy of orders and satisfaction.
• Knowledgeable of menu and demonstrates suggestive selling.
• Packages food for dine-in and to-go orders and ensures order completeness.
• Uses register to process transactions and handle cash accurately.
• Maintains cashier area neat and organized and complies with cash handling policies.
• Follow all relevant regulations and policies including alcohol service requirements.
• Stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds; maintain moderate to loud work environment.
