Job summary

Goodwill of Western NY in Olean is seeking a Cashier/Key Holder to support daily operations and lead the team in our brand-new store. You’ll deliver excellent customer service, manage opening/closing, and act as Manager on Duty when needed.

This role offers growth within Goodwill, with leadership training, potential progression to Assistant Manager and Store Manager, and a hybrid schedule with opportunities for advancement and community impact.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Strong cashiering and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service as primary cashier.
• Operate the register and ensure accurate cash handling and POS transactions.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including securing the store.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, providing support and direction to team members.
• Train and assist Store Associates to maintain strong performance.
• Support sales floor, donation door, and merchandising activities.
• Assist with donation processing, including sorting, pricing, and meeting production goals.
