Job summary

Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel is seeking a Guest Service Host to greet and seat guests, manage checkouts at the POS, and ensure a welcoming experience in the restaurant. You will handle cash with accuracy and assist the team to maintain smooth service during weekends and busy periods.

PURPOSE

To ensure our guest’s experience in the restaurant is pleasant by greeting guests with a smile, seating guests in appropriate sections, performing money transactions on the POS register, and handling cash accurately.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and seat guests with a smile in the proper section following the Rotation Procedure.
• Ask the Guest for feedback on their meal and invite them back as they leave the restaurant.
• Operate POS Register, handle cash accurately, complete daily register transactions, and make deposit to the vault.
• Check back with the guests during their meals to ensure they are satisfied with the restaurant and their service.
• Inform guests of special events and answer questions about Casino events.
• Support servers on the floor with cleaning floors, arranging tables, and filling water glasses and coffee cups.
• Keep Supervisor updated on the business flow of the restaurant.
• Stock all cashier supplies.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning duties.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PREFERRED

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
• Previous Guest Service experience.
• Two (2) years Restaurant and Cash Handling experience.

Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of MICROS or equivalent POS System.

Hiring Preference

Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
