Job summary

Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. is hiring a Cashier to greet customers, operate the POS, and process transactions accurately. You will engage customers in Change Round Up, assist in training new staff, and keep the sales floor clean and organized.

Weekend and evening availability is preferred, with a focus on delivering friendly, efficient service. The role supports mission-driven programs with strong customer interactions and a commitment to community impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm.
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise.
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to support our missions.
• Respond to phone calls while offering world-class customer service.
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor.
