Job summary

Goodwill Manasota is seeking a friendly Cashier to join our team. You will greet customers, ring up sales, and help with price and code accuracy at the register.

You'll participate in community-focused programs like Change Round Up, assist in training new staff, and maintain a neat, safe sales floor while supporting our mission of empowering people.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
• Available to work days, evenings and weekends.
• Able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist at the POS.
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate sales data and pricing.
• Encourage customers to participate in Change Round Up.
• Answer phone calls and provide customer service.
• Assist in training new cashiers.
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized and safe.

THE POSITION

As a Cashier, you will:

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor
