Job summary

Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona in Mesa, AZ is seeking a team member to lead an excellent customer and brand experience at the register and on the sales floor. You will run the POS, process payments, and help maintain sales floor standards and store operations.

Starting pay is $15.15 per hour, with opportunities for growth through our Total Rewards program and training. This role emphasizes reliability, strong service, and alignment with Goodwill Core Values in daily work.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate and understand instructions in English.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Performs Point of Sale (POS) responsibilities and processes all forms of payments.
• Asks each customer for cash donations at POS.
• Establishes or identifies prices of goods via merchandise type, markings, or help from a leader.
• Completes closing procedures, as necessary.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
• Greets customers that enter and thanks customers leaving.
• Maintains sales floor by following floorwork and POSM standards.
• Stocks merchandise in assigned areas.
• Uses paging systems and phones for announcements.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment.
