Job summary

BBQ Holdings, Inc. is seeking a To Go Specialist/Cashier to join our team in West Des Moines. You will assist Guests with menu choices, process orders at the POS, and ensure quick, friendly service for take-out and office orders.

We value punctuality, teamwork, and accuracy. Training is provided; a high school diploma is preferred, and prior restaurant experience is a plus. A flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within our organization are available.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, basic math and effective communication skills are required.
• English language and professional communications skills are required.
• Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple priorities with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests and take orders for take-out or dine-in where applicable.
• Process orders at the POS and operate tablets/phones with care and accuracy.
• Support teammates by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and expediting orders as needed.
• Assist with running food and ensuring quick, friendly service.

Who We're Looking For....

As a To Go Specialist/Cashier, you will share with our Guests your knowledge of the menu allowing them to have a great experience at home or in their office. We expect you to be punctual, to support your fellow Team Members, and complete side duties that include but may not be limited to bussing tables, cleaning workstations, expediting orders and running food.

Education And Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Previous server or restaurant experience preferred

Skills/Competencies/Certifications

• Reading, writing, basic math and effective communication skills required

• Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
