Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently, ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling cash, credit/debit payments, and providing information and resolving complaints. You will also assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed. Maintaining knowledge of weekly ad items, guiding customers to product locations, and staying informed about store events are essential. You must keep checkout areas clean and orderly and communicate effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier. All related duties as assigned are part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Display outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact well with customers.
• Operate front end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependability and flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team, taking direction and constructive criticism.
• Ability to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force, for distances up to 4 feet, as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and excellent cash handling skills.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $16.55 - $20.75 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
