Pay Range: $14.00 - $17.56 per hour

General Purpose

The purpose of this position is to ensure Harmons’ customers leave the store with a positive experience. Responsibilities include scanning items accurately, handling money and giving correct change, bagging produce and other items, maintaining a clean and organized check stand, promoting the Foodie Club Card, and providing exceptional customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
2. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all front-end areas.
3. Stock check stands with bags and supplies.
4. Scan items quickly and accurately.
5. Bag produce and other items when a courtesy clerk is unavailable.
6. Ensure pricing accuracy for scanned items.
7. Handle money and give accurate change to maintain a balanced till.
8. Promote Foodie Club Card during transactions.
9. Provide exceptional customer service to every customer.
10. Assist customers with questions and locating items throughout the store.
11. Understand and apply Harmons’ policies for checks, gift cards, WIC, etc.
12. Assist as needed to support the overall success of the store.

Marginal Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with "go-backs" and perform other related duties as assigned.

• Daily interaction with store associates.

Physical & Sensory Demands

Work is performed in a store environment with exposure to hot or cold conditions. Tasks include grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, reaching, repetitive motions, and coordination. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move heavy objects up to 30 pounds throughout the shift.
