Job summary

Los Tacos No. 1 in Times Square is seeking a friendly cashier to greet guests, process orders at the POS, handle cash and card payments, and keep the dining area tidy. The role offers a base hourly wage with tips and requires reliable multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

The position demands good math, strong communication, and a passion for customer service. You should be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Good math skills
• Basic PC knowledge
• Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Greet the customers with “ Bienvenido’s” and a smile
• Entering food orders using cash register POS System
• Handling Cash and credit transactions.
• Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift, Accept cash and return the correct change.
• Maintain a well-stocked salsa bar, drink cup lids, and napkins before and after shift, Clean dining room, and cashier station
• Maintain Beverage Fridges stocked and clean
• Upsell products Sides, Drinks, Aguas Frescas, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and follow all food safety and Health & safety guidelines
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Take pride in serving guests and providing exceptional customer service
• Completes other duties as assigned by the MOD( Manager on Duty)
