Mead Lumber in Spearfish, SD is hiring a Cashier to provide excellent customer service, process transactions accurately, and keep a clean checkout area. You will support store management and team members, with a weekend-per-month shift requirement.

Responsibilities

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Learn procedures for orders, special orders, purchase orders, returns, payment on account, and merchandise receiving.
• Greet customers as they enter the store and thank each customer as they exit.
• Answer incoming phone calls pleasantly and effectively.
• Maintain awareness of promotions and advertisements.
• Accurately and efficiently process transactions and maintain cash at registers.
• Process cash, credit card and charge transactions following procedures.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers.
• Count cash drawer at opening and close every day.

Job Summary: The primary responsibilities of the Cashier position are to provide excellent customer service, accurately and efficiently process transactions, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area as well as support store management and team associates.

Pay for this Role: $15.00 per hour depending on experience.

Shift: Cashiers are required to work at least one weekend per month.
