Responsibilities:

• Greet all customers entering and exiting the store
• Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and explain its benefits
• Accurately balance cash drawer at day's end
• Maintain a clean work environment and personal workspace
• Engage customers in conversation to personalize transactions
• End transactions with a “thank you” to each customer
• Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
• Contribute to a positive team environment and personal growth
• Perform basic math, interpret graphs, and understand instructions
• Present information effectively to customers and colleagues
• Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Exercise judgment and tact with customers and coworkers
• Work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Schedule:

Varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Minimum availability of two weekends per month. Average 15-25 hours per week.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred; 1-3 months cashiering experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, talk, and hear. Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.

Associates must follow safety procedures to minimize injury risks.
