Job Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons, following company policies.
• Adhere to company policies on cash shortages and overages, working honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
• Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues to management.
• Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers, assisting with product questions throughout the store.
• Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
• Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
