Job summary

URBANE CAFE is hiring friendly, energetic cashiers to welcome guests and drive a positive dining experience at our California locations. You will greet guests, take orders, and handle transactions while keeping the station clean and guest-ready.

We offer competitive hourly pay with tips, on-demand pay, flexible scheduling, and health and retirement benefits for eligible team members. Prior cashier or guest service experience is a plus, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with guests and team.
• Able to perform simple math calculations and make change.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Bilingual a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Greet every guest with a warm, genuine smile and make them feel at home
• Take orders accurately and efficiently — in person and at the register
• Answer menu questions and help guests find their new favorite thing to eat
• Handle transactions with care and accuracy
• Keep your station clean, organized and guest-ready at all times
• Support the team and jump in wherever you're needed

• A naturally friendly, upbeat personality
• Great communication skills and a love for guest interaction
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and card transactions
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods
• Prior cashier or guest service experience a plus — but we'll train the right person!

Urbane Cafe is a family-owned company founded by Tom Holt, with locations across Southern California and Nevada — and more on the way.
