Job Responsibilities:

1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
2. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders including Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per company policy.
3. Adhere to company limits on cash shortages or overages and work honestly to control loss.
4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs.
5. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
6. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
7. Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and ads.
8. Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines.
9. Support safety programs by following procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying management.
10. Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
11. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
12. Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
13. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
14. Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
15. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
16. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
17. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
