Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures in accordance with company policy.
• Adhere to company's cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
• Follow all food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and assisting throughout the store.
• Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
