We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to provide an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include processing customer transactions quickly and accurately, understanding and adhering to company policies on cash handling and restricted sale items, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Processing transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system and handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons.
2. Ensuring adherence to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
3. Following guidelines for the sale of restricted items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
4. Reporting pricing discrepancies and following procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
5. Staying current with advertisements and promotions.
6. Complying with food safety regulations and safety procedures, including reporting unsafe conditions.
7. Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
8. Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
9. Managing conflict effectively and acting with honesty and integrity.
10. Supporting diverse customer needs, including interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
