A leading company in retail is seeking a Head Cashier in Little Rock, AR. The role involves providing excellent customer service, managing checkout processes, and supporting cashier training. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of cashier experience and strong product knowledge.
Job Description
Position Purpose:
Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service. They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage. A Head Cashier supports cashiers by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions, and managing markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They serve as the first level of escalation for customer issues and assist in supervising, coaching, and training other Front End Associates, including participating in new cashier training and utilizing all available tools for coaching and development. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is at least 1 year of cashier experience.
