Key Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies on cash handling, loss prevention, and restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
  • Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
  • Comply with all laws and company guidelines.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
