Job Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with advertisements.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions about products.
  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
