Job Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons, following company policies.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
  • Manage postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons according to established policies.
  • Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain equipment through preventive inspections and report repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with product questions and store navigation.
  • Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflicts in a respectful manner.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support customers with special needs, including minors and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
