Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer service experience
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Essential Job Functions:

• Be visible, greet, engage, and assist customers actively.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the POS system, handling various tenders and adhering to company policies.
• Maintain honesty and control loss by following cash handling limits.
• Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues and notify management.
• Perform equipment inspections and notify maintenance of repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with questions.
• Comply with all laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced, stressful environments and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
