Essential Functions:

• Assisted Self Check Out: Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously. Approaches and interacts with customers proactively, recommends products and services appropriately. Greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers at the same time. Moves throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure accurate transactions. Thanks customers and invites them back to Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provides SMART customer service, adhering to Lowe’s policies, procedures, and programs.
• Seeks out customers, understands their needs, and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Responds promptly to questions, guides customers through projects, and demonstrates appreciation.
• Communicates product information, features, benefits, applications, and warranties.
• Coaches, develops, and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register for transactions, returns, and refunds following guidelines.
• Provides proper monetary change, supports front-end team, and handles security tags and merchandise bagging.
• Answers calls, manages register coverage, and assists with line vesting for quicker checkout.

In-stock

• Prepares register area at shifts’ start and end, checks functionality, stocks supplies.
• Inspects returned merchandise, manages online orders and returns, verifies prices for match, and records store use items.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitors cash, security alarms, shoplifting signs, and maintains store cleanliness and safety.
• Ensures safety compliance, operates store equipment, and maintains a secure environment.

General

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.

Preferences

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, head cashier roles, departmental work at Lowe’s, supervisory experience, and shoplifting detection.
