Job Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the check lane.
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons, adhering to company policies.
  • Understand and follow company policies on cash shortages/overages, restricted sales (e.g., alcohol, tobacco), and pricing discrepancies.
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions, ads, and store policies.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, assisting with questions and ensuring they feel valued.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and company guidelines.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Support vulnerable populations, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
