Position Purpose: Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service. They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier supports Cashiers by expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns, and providing first-level escalation for customer issues. They also assist in supervising, coaching, and training other Front End Associates, including new Cashiers.
The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Cashier experience.
