Boston Harbor City Cruises is seeking a Cash Room Attendant for our ferry terminal in Hingham, MA.

Starting Pay: $19/hr. Seasonal work from May 2025-October 31st, 2025

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The Cash Room Attendant will reconcile daily ticket sales to cash and credit card receipts, prepare banks and cash deposits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform and record cash inventories to balance the cash room.
  • Reconcile cash and credit receipts from sales to physical ticket inventories using cash counting equipment and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Prepare and log daily deposits for pickup by armored car service.
  • Manage physical ticket inventories recording beginning, end, and sold amounts in Excel.
  • Keep detailed and accurate electronic and hard copy records of daily activities.
  • Project service requirements for the next day(s) activities and prepare change banks and ticket stock where applicable.
  • Project and call-in weekly change orders to be delivered by armored car service.
  • Communicate daily with local contract officials regarding revenues, ticket stock, and ridership.
  • Additional job duties assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • A track record of reliable cash handling and record keeping.
  • Strength to lift a box of rolled quarters (25lb) or to drag a bag of loose quarters (50lb) a few feet.
  • Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain a high level of organization, detail orientation, and meet deadlines.
  • Handle multiple tasks/projects at one time.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by job responsibility.
  • Listen effectively, assess the situation, determine relevant issues, & suggest solutions.
  • Have a working knowledge of computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to coworkers and guests.
  • Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
  • Availability for work nights, weekends, and all major holidays.
