Responsibilities

• Apply payments received electronically or in hard copy daily to the appropriate patient accounts.
• Process daily reconciliation of lockbox deposits, EFTs, and credit card postings.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation for patient accounts receivable.
• Correct contractual adjustments using contract terms and regulations.
• Verify and apply credit card transactions to reconcile monthly statements.
• Reconcile bank statement reports daily.
• Process checks returned as unpayable due to insufficient funds.
