Job summary

Roche Bros. Supermarkets is seeking a Cash Office Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service at the courtesy booth, manage cash handling accurately, and record totals in the Point-Of-Sale system.

You will contribute to a friendly, family-like atmosphere while supporting associates and customers. The role requires teamwork, integrity, and English proficiency to follow instructions and handle duties such as refunds, gift cards, and coordinating with the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about people and committed to customer service excellence.
• Must be able to work as a team member and interact positively with customers.
• Must possess a high standard of integrity and reliability.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow instructions.
• Authorized to work within the U.S. and meet federal, state and local age regulations in regards to the sale of alcohol and tobacco.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee accurate and efficient handling of sales and service functions at the courtesy booth including but not limited to cash handling, customer complaints and requests, refunds, answering phones, sales of gift cards, cigarettes, and stamps.
• Notify Cash Office Manager, Customer Service Manager or member of the store management team of potential shrink (such as cash handling, pick-ups and loans, cashier over/short, security, shoplifting, sweet-hearting, product handling, and returns).
• Maintain accurate records and follow guidelines for submitting documentation to the accounting department.
• Communicate needs and problems to manager on duty and any price discrepancies to the appropriate department manager.
• Ensure company standards of cleanliness, safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are achieved.
