Responsibilities

• Promote Roche Bros. image as a service-oriented operation with courteous, helpful service.
• Build a strong customer service team with management and associates.
• Record items at correct prices quickly and accurately.
• Verify identification for beer and wine purchases where applicable.
• Follow cash handling procedures and manage over/short records.
• Assist bagging orders and verify items at checkout.
• Report issues to customer service management.
• Help control shrink and loss prevention.
• Keep work area clean and safe; report hazards.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, proper food handling, sanitation and productivity.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Cashiers may be scheduled as Service Clerks, Self-Checkout Assistants, or Head Cashiers as dictated by the business need.
• Return shopping carts and hand baskets to the proper location.
• Assist in training new associates.
