Job summary

The Office of Unemployment Insurance Operations, part of the State of Ohio, seeks a supervising financial professional to oversee cash management, deposits, and reporting for Ohio's UI trust fund. You will supervise staff, ensure accurate federal reports, and maintain compliance across ledgers and client communications.

Location options include Columbus, Akron, or Dayton facilities, with minimal travel. A strong background in accounting/finance and advanced spreadsheet skills are required.

Qualifications

• 54 months accounting/finance experience with advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, or finance plus 30 months accounting/finance with advanced spreadsheets.
• Graduate core program in business administration, accounting, or finance plus 18 months accounting/finance with advanced spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff handling daily cash management tasks.
• Approve deposits/withdrawals for Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund.
• Ensure federal reports are accurate and submitted on time.
• Review staff ledger entries for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure correct withheld payments to state and county child support agencies.
• Communicate with customers by phone, email, or other methods.
• Train and develop staff to be skilled and effective.
