1840 & Company is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to support daily cash application operations, payment research, reconciliation, and inquiries across multiple systems. This temporary role runs through June 2026 with possible extension based on business needs.

The ideal candidate has office/finance experience, strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables), and comfort navigating multiple tools and dashboards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior office or administrative experience in a finance, accounting, or operations environment preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) and data handling.
• Comfort with dashboards and multiple systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash application research and support cash inflow management activities.
• Investigate aged and complex items on the unapplied cash dashboard.
• Assist with resolving unapplied, misapplied, or unidentified payments across systems.
• Maintain documentation of findings and actions.
• Manage email communications related to cash application and payment research.
• Use a cash application dashboard to track and resolve open items.
