Job summary

SGS is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to join our US-based finance team. You will handle high volumes of daily cash receipts for US customer accounts, post lockbox payments, and reconcile various remittance formats using Oracle AR.

You will also monitor unapplied receipts, collaborate with billing and collections, and assist with new customer setups. This role requires accuracy, speed, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of cash application experience required.
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience required.
• Strong numerical, analytical and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Enters high volume of daily cash receipts for all US customer accounts.
• Posts lockbox payments by recording transactions received from several lock boxes into our system.
• Responsible for reconciling cash transactions, third party remittances, and credit card payments.
• Downloads, posts, and reconciles electronic remittance files.
• Monitors unapplied and unidentified receipts and works with business units for timely resolution.
• Works with the billing and collections representatives to resolve posting problems.
• Submits checks to virtual lockbox scanner as needed.
• Performs the setup of new customers.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
• Answers inquiries about client cash applications from partners and clients.
• Participates in special projects as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
