Job summary

TekWissen Group has an opening for a Cash Application Analyst to manage and streamline the process of applying payments to customer accounts in the media sector. This temporary onsite role handles cash application, reconciliations, and documentation for accuracy across a large revenue stream.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years accounting or accounts receivables experience required.
• Experience with checks, wire transfers, and payment remittance.
• Strong language skills (English/Spanish is a plus).
• Proficient with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Cash application for the CBS TV Stations.
• Review wire transfers and checks received and apply them to customers.
• Create credit/debit memos to adjust AR for charge backs, refunds and to adjust cash posted incorrectly.
• Work with collections team to apply cash to invoices.
• Prepare daily cash received report.
• Balance and maintain daily cash receipts accounts and record journal entries to the G/L.
• Identify unknown wire transfers with treasury team.
• Ensure unapplied payments are resolved and applied timely.
• Process manual credit cards, wire transactions and over-the-counter deposits.
• Post sundry receivables deposited to the lockbox.
• Participate in month-end close.
• Assist stations with backup of checks and inquiries from stations.
• Special projects related to accounts receivable.
• Ad-hoc internal and external audit reports.
• Active participation in audits
