Job summary

AOE International is a nonprofit focused on workforce development and education, partnering with organizations to address poverty, resource access, and opportunities. The Case Manager will carry a caseload from enrollment through at least one year of follow‑up, building each participant's Employment Plan and tracking progress in training and work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Two+ years of case management or career coaching experience with adults facing barriers to employment.
• Experience with people returning from incarceration, low-income households or English language learners.
• Knowledge of community resources in the service area.
• Accurate record keeping and sound judgment with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Complete a needs assessment with each participant at enrollment and update it throughout the program.
• Develop the Individual Employment Plan within 10 business days of enrollment and amend it at each transition.
• Meet participants weekly during training, track attendance and progress with instructors, and respond the same day to problems.
• Recommend Barrier Reduction services and documentation per policy (transportation, child care, clothing, emergency assistance).
• Connect participants with community resources and coordinate referrals with partner providers.
• Work with transition services on job readiness and placement; provide retention support after placement.
• Carry out monthly follow-up contact for at least one year after completion.
• Record services, contacts and outcomes in the CEJA Reporting System within five business days.
