Job summary

People-Encouraging-People seeks a Case Manager Vocational Support to coordinate vocational assessment, development, and placement for ACT Team clients in Anne Arundel County, MD. The role educates candidates and staff about vocational services and funding sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Vocational Rehab or other Human Services field preferred and at least two years experience in vocational services/mental health field.
• One to two years supervisory experience.
• One to three months on-the-job training.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent written and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review all incoming referrals and assess candidates for vocational services.
• Provide Job Coaching, Vocational Evaluations and Work Adjustment Training.
• Monitor the quantity and quality of vocational services provided by staff members.
• Assist clients with obtaining documents required by employers (SS Card, ID).
• Provide individual vocational-supportive counseling and conduct a strengths and needs assessment.
• Identify barriers related to mental health issues and develop strategies to overcome them.
• Provide services to teach job seeking skills.
• Hold client groups around vocational support and advancement.
• Perform on-the-job and off-the-job coaching, problem solving, and support.
• Establish relationships with employers to develop jobs for ACT clients.
• Maintain relationships with DORS to access funding when eligible.
• Provide benefits counseling and ensure financial viability and insurance coverage.
