Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island Inc. seeks a dedicated professional to provide coaching, supervision and education during parental visits for children placed out of the home.

You will coordinate with DCYF, prepare weekly visitation summaries and court letters, and support families and providers to advance treatment goals. Responsibilities include case management, arranging transportation for visits, and working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant career experience in human services, child development, education, child and family treatment.
• Experience working with children and families involved in child welfare.
• Experience providing supervised visitation is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly preferred.
• Ability to use MS Office programs, mainframe computer systems and Internet.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance, registration, inspection and driving record.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provides coaching, support, supervision and education during parental visits with children who are placed out of the home.
• Responsible for communication with DCYF including weekly visitation summaries and court letters.
• Coordinate with families and providers to best support treatment work.
• Provide case management.
• Provide transportation for children to and from visits as needed.
